This was a seriously dreamy day. Lena and Haig, along with their immediate families and a few very close friends (who might as well be family) celebrated their union on a warm, late summer evening and it was such a joy to document!! These two are born and bred New Yorkers with Lena growing up right near Central Park, so it was only fitting to do the majority of their portraits in this magical urban oasis!

I loved Lena’s ethereal vibe and her and Haig’s calm energy. You could tell right away they were best friends and just so full of love and admiration for one another! After portraits in the park, we made our way downtown to Tocqueville where they had a short and sweet and truly heartfelt ceremony, followed by an out of this world dinner celebration. This day was wrapped in intention, support, and love and I am thrilled to share a bit of the beauty of it all here…

What an honor to have been invited along to participate in Ruffled Blog’s NYC Styled Social at The Foundry!! This was basically a photographers dream with 3 magical (and very different) set up’s all created by the talented teams behind RuffledMichelle Elaine Weddings, and Designs by Ahn (full vendor list below!). I wasn’t originally going to blog this since it isn’t technically a real wedding, but this is *hopefully* a place to offer inspiration and it doesn’t get much better than this. I was obsessed with the use of bright/bold colors in this first tablescape! The second, softer set up felt like a dream with whimsical floral details and THAT OVERHEAD INSTALLATION, and the third set up was so incredibly chic, urban, and unique with the use of gold wire mesh to build the flowers upwards!!

I am in absolute awe of the talent + effort brought into this day and can’t wait to see what this dream team comes up with next!!

Can we just do this day over and over and over again please!?? Cate + Bryan were married on a FREEZING Fall day, but the whole experience felt so, well, WARM 😉 These two were as lovely as can be from the second they first contacted me and that kind nature has continued well past their wedding…

Cate and Bryan have a really beautiful love. It is attentive and caring and passionate. It’s the kind of love everyone wishes for and not many truly find and it was so inspiring to witness and document <3

They handled the not ideal weather with ease and seemed to just ENJOY their wedding and all of their friends/family/guests. Their ceremony was heartfelt, the dance floor was packed from the second the music started, and Cate’s cape, you guys, it probably deserves it’s own blog post 😉

I am so excited to share some of my favorite images from this magical day and am sending all the thanks in the world to this wonderful couple and their welcoming families!!

… When a random stranger’s dog makes a cameo and it basically makes everyone’s day 😉
