Every single time I do a family session or a session with a little one, I leave feeling so full of joy and wondering why I don’t do these more often! We had the best Mother’s Day morning with our friends and the newest addition to their family! This session was short and sweet and so full of love (and baby kisses) … and Aiden might have been the happiest, most easy going kiddo I’ve ever photographed! Love this family and documenting this new and exciting time in their lives was such an honor. Looking forward to more sweet mornings like this…
Man, I love our job. It has taken us to some of the most beautiful locations and has introduced us to some of the most incredible people (so many of which have become friends over the years!)… there isn’t a day that goes by that I don’t feel grateful we get to call this work. And we had a particularly fun afternoon with Katelyn and Brian! They were kind enough to drive us all around Long Island, showing us so many places that hold importance to them- specifically the docks where Brian proposedwhere we lucked out with this beautiful in-between-rain-storms light!!
I really loved watching these two lovebirds interact. They are so clearly best friends and spent the afternoon laughing and just generally enjoying each other and the session!! They were kind and easy going and gentle with each other and made our job extremely easy and we CANNOT wait for their wedding this coming summer!
If I am being completely honest, I wasn’t entirely sure how the business transition would go when we moved to New York. We had worked really hard to build the most incredible client base in LA, so I was worried that we wouldn’t be so fortunate in a new state… and now that we’re here, it’s easy to see that worry was for absolutely nothing We had initially met Alyssa and Billy via skype so we hadn’t actually hung out in person, but when we met up with them for their session, we jumped right into hugs and easy conversation! This was one of those magical early spring afternoons that felt really peaceful…
Alyssa and Billy have one of the sweetest loves we’ve had the privilege to document- they are kind and thoughtful towards one another- and they make each other LAUGH! Tim and I were smiling from ear to ear the entire time behind our cameras and absolutely cannot wait to hang out with these two again at their wedding next spring!!
Ah, days like this… It was the perfect send off from California as we headed back east only a few days after When Brooksie and Phil booked us for their wedding, they were living in NY- but once we started emailing about scheduling their engagement session, they actually had a great opportunity that brought them out to California! (So, essentially, we traded places) Since their wedding will be back east, they were hoping to have a classic California engagement session- and we pretty much lucked out with the most beautiful day ever! We spent the afternoon wandering around Venice and ended the evening taking in one of the most incredible sunsets I’ve seen in a long time. The day was full of laughter and hugs and was so easygoing. It just made us even more excited to document these two on their wedding day this summer!!
Old Town Pasadena will always hold a special place in my heart. It’s small, but so full of character and life and charm around each and every corner! So, when Casey and Brian asked if we’d be willing to shoot their engagement session there, I was so excited! We shot this session a couple weeks before our move back east, and there was something so lovely and relaxed about the whole day- and we were so thrilled to spend a bit more time in one of our favorite neighborhoods before heading to NY! Casey and Brian are sweet as can be!! They spent the entire day laughing and hugging and kissing- in fact, our job was made super simple as we pretty much just walked around and documented them being, well, themselves They have such a beautiful friendship and love and we felt so honored to be able to capture this special time in their lives. Sending all the joy and happiness in the world to these lovebirds!
